Transparent sheets of plastic, traditionally made of celluloid, used in the hand-drawn animation process to create individual frames of movement. Animators would draw characters and objects on these cels, which were then layered over a static backgrounds


Rotoscoping 

its a technique for writing down over it frame by frame to create a more realistic image or to isolate or extract from visual effects 

the multi plane camera 

its a special motion picture camera used in the traditional animation process that moves a number of pieces of artwork past the camera at varies speeds and distances from one another this creates a three dimensional effect. 

technicolor 

this was a tenchnilogical breakthrough a camera records it on red green and blue, red gets dyed blue green gets dyed pink and blue gets dyed yellow and they all get animated together to create a colour
