Diversity..or the lack of it in Hollywood

  1. For a while the film industry has been accused of being too white, too male, too straight, too American, too narrow.
  2. Hollywood didn't care, people couldn't challenge it officially. until 2023 the SAG-AFTRA strikes, writers went on strike due to lack of pay, many pointed out the difference in pay between white people and people of color.
  3. Representation and diversity have became a huge problem for Disney.
  4. Shang Chi made with a majority Asian cast and direct


"Oscars so white" was a massive turning point, it led to a host standing down. 

Snow White Remake 

  1.  A safe way of making profit 
  2. Correcting their wrongs 
  3. A chance to show how diverse the company is now 

From the trailer 

  • Make a women of color 
  • CGI "magic people"
  • No non-consensual kiss i would imagine 
  • Colour blind casting 
  • Snow white has a left domestic roles
  • More independent
